A half of the Ruff N Smooth music duo, Clement Baah Foh aka Ahkan has disclosed that being in a music group constricts talents of individual artistes.
In an exclusive interview with Kwame Dadzie on Celebrity Radar on Citi 97.3 FM, AKhan explained that he is happy to be doing his solo music projects because that is what will let people know what he is worth.
“I feel so good being a solo artiste because now I can see that a lot of people have accepted that when you are in a group you can do your solo projects. For me, that is what keeps group for a long time because sometimes in a group people don’t have opportunities to do their own thing and that really hijacks talents individually you want to exhibit,” he said.
He noted that Rufff N Smooth has agreed to go solo and come back any time they want to do a joint project.
“We still can do our solo things but the group is still intact. We have a song with Diamond Platinumz and we’ll be releasing it this year but for now I am just wanna build the Akhan brand,” he added.
Speaking from the United States of America, the ‘Barawo’ singer said he really cherishes the success of his colleague Bullet who managed the late Ebony and currently has under his record label Danny Beatz, Mz Forson and Brella.
Akhan in his bid to strengthen his brand has released ‘Amina’ which is receiving rave reviews from music critics and fans.
According to him, ‘Amina’ will prepare the grounds for the greater works he has for music fans in 2018 and beyond.
Akhan formed the Ruff N Smooth duo with Bullet (Ricky Nana Agyemang) after they had earlier tested the waters as individual artistes.
Prior to the alliance, Bullet was formerly known as Etuo Aboba (meaning Bullet) and Akhan known as Osrane (meaning Moon).
‘Swagger’ was their breakthrough song. Other songs like ‘Sex Machine’, ‘Azingele,’ ‘Dance for Me,’and ‘Naija Baby’ also catapulted them into stardom.
