The Education Minister, Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has been honoured as the Best Minister for 2017 at the 8th edition of the Ghana Entrepreneur and Corporate Executive Awards 2018, held at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra.
This was to honor the Minister’s contribution to Ghana’s education sector.
The award recognized the key roles the sector Minister has played in the education sector since he assumed office in the administration of the Nana Akufo-Addo.
The award was presented by US-Ambassador to Ghana, Robert Porter Jackson.
Speaking after receiving the plague, Dr. Opoku Prempeh dedicated the award to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his vision in the introduction of the Free Senior High School policy.
He also dedicated the award to all individuals who are pursuing the President’s vision of ensuring that the policy is sustained.
He indicated that the Ministry through his leadership will continue to introduce policies that will contribute positively to the country’s education sector.
The Minister also said his Ministry will continue to work with all stakeholders towards achieving greater heights in the sector.
He also expressed his gratitude and commended organizers of the event for the honor.
