The newly elected officers of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been duly sworn into office.
They have been mandated to take charge of the party’s affairs for the next four years.
The NPP delegates in the Northern Region went to the polls yesterday [Saturday] and elected a new crop of leaders to steer the affairs of the party in the region.
Mohammed A. Baantima was elected as the new Chairman of the party in the region taking over from Daniel Bugri Naabu who has held the position since 2014.
The Mohammed A. Baantima’s administration will have to work hard to improve the party’s electoral gains at the 2020 polls.
Victory speech
An elated Mohammed A. Baantima Samba commended the delegates for the confidence reposed in him.

He extolled his campaign team and sponsors for their immense contributions.
Mohammed Samba promised that his administration would strengthen the party’s grassroots support base.
Some party loyalists in a Citi News interview touted the newly elected officers as a winning team for the 2020 polls.
They commended the delegates for completely overhauling the party’s regional leadership.
