The originator of the hip life genre in Ghana, Reginald Osei, known in showbiz as Reggie Rockstone, has shown appreciation to Citi 97.3 FM for celebrating him on his birthday, yesterday.
Reggie who celebrated his 54th birthday on 11th April, 2018 expressed his gratitude to fans and media houses that wished him well, especially Citi FM which dedicated all its programmes to playing his songs.
“Earlier today I made this here. Video to thank all you for the bee day. Love y’all showed me and showing us. Big up to all the media houses/radio stations and more. Felt special. Won’t lie to you! Preciat! @Citi 973fm. Bless you for an amazing dedication! Y’all played so much of my music. I ain’t know I made some of them. (Jokes). Goodlooking out and bless GH Wakanda vibes. No mo wild parties but I felt just as wild,” he wrote on his instagram page.
The station on the occasion of the hiplife grandpa’s birthday played his songs back-to-back from the morning show, brunch show to the late afternoon show.
Reggie Rockstone who pioneered the hiplife genre in Ghana in 1994. He is currently a member of the VVIP music group.
Reggie has songs like ‘Agoo,’ ‘Tsoo Boi,’ ‘Sweetie Sweetie,’ among others.
