Viewers of Citi TV and listeners of Citi 97.3 FM were thrilled with refreshing live music by highlife artiste Rex and Ghanaian songstress Adina last Saturday.
The fourth season of ‘Saturday Live’ returned on Saturday, May 26, 2018 with the two great acts with support from QueiQu Aphro and the Characters Band.
The programme started with the Characters Band playing renditions of popular songs.
The legendary Rex Omar who recently released ‘Nhyira’ and ‘Highlife Agoogo’ also performed some of his songs on an acoustic guitar and wrapped up with the band with his gospel song ‘Maba.’

Adina’s sterling performance got the atmosphere charged. She also did songs like ‘Makoma’ and ‘Killing Me Softly,’ from her repertoire.
The show was hosted by Kojo Akoto Boateng whose high sense of humour kept the programme afloat.

In previous episodes the show entertained listeners with an array of Ghana’s finest musicians, poets and comedians.
Top musicians like Pat Thomas, Paulina Oduro, Obrafour, Okyeame Kwame, Kontihene, Gasmilla, MzBel, Rex Omar, Lucky Mensah, Wiyaala, Lawyer Ace Ankomah and the super versatile Kyekyeku have all featured on the show before.
On ‘Saturday Live,’ artistes talk about their careers and perform live renditions of their works.
The show has also hosted poets like Poetra Asantewa, Chief Moomen, Hashmullah, Nana Kofi Sammy, Abibikasa, among others.
Dark Suburb, Sollo 7, Josh Black, the Voice Trumpeter, the Cleffs, Six Strings, Koo Kumi, Adomaa, Nene Narh, Cabum and Kapun (sons of the legendary Alhaji K. Frimpong) have on been on ‘Saturday Live.’
