Meteo Agency warns of thunderstorm nationwide

The Ghana Meteorological Agency has warned of a thunderstorm to be experienced nationwide today [Thursday], May 3, 2018.

According to the Agency, the southern half of the country namely: Volta, Greater Accra, Eastern, Central, Ashanti, Western and Brong Ahafo Regions, will experience the thunderstorm between 6:00am and 10:00am.

A statement from the Meteorological Agency said the Northern Half of Ghana namely, Upper East, Northern and Upper West Regions will also experience theirs between 7:00am and 10:00am.

“A thunderstorm cell observed on the eastern borders of the country is expected to move west and affect most places of the country this morning. Update on the storm will be made known as and when necessary, the statement signed by Bashiru Yahaya, from the Forecast Division, of the Agency timed 0500UTC added.

Just when the statement reached Citi News, some parts of the country started experiencing the thunderstorm with rains.
