Security man remanded for impregnating minor

A 45-year-old security man has been remanded into Police custody for allegedly impregnating a 15-year-old girl at Adenta in Accra.

Dramani Adams is said to have lured the girl and had sex with her in an uncompleted storey building.

Adams charged with defilement pleaded not guilty.

He is to appear again on June 12, before the court presided over by Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Agnes Boafo, prosecuting, said the complainant is a herbalist residing at Powerline, Adenta whiles the victim is a seamstress apprentice residing with the complainant who is her uncle.

The prosecution said Adams resides in an area known as Maame Dokono in Adenta.

ASP Boafo said about five months ago; the victim was sent to her aunty who also resides at the Maame Dokono area to assist her with house chores and prepare her kids to school.

The prosecution said a month ago, Adams called the victim who was on her way home into an uncompleted storey building and had sex with her in one of the rooms.

The Prosecution said the following day Adams again called the victim again and had sex within the same room.

On May 22, this year, the victim’s aunty observed some changes on her she conducted a pregnancy test, and it tested positive.

The prosecution said when the victim was quizzed she narrated the incident to her aunty who led her to the accused’s house.

They reported the incident to the Police, and a medical report form was issued to the victim to seek medical attention.

When the accused was picked up by the Police, the prosecution said Adams admitted the offence in his caution statement.
