Ghanaians from all walks of life rushed to Citi FM’s premises on Monday morning for tickets for the screening of investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ exposé on Ghana football.

Their anticipation for the screening was contagious, with more people making their way to the station.

A number of them expressed their eagerness to see corrupt officials named and shamed and a desire to see Ghana football cleaned.

The tickets eventually ran out leaving those who could not pick up a ticket disappointed.

The documentary is set to be premiered in Accra on June 6 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Details of the documentary’s content first emerged back in April.

The Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, later hinted on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana, that some major players in Ghana football would be captured in the exposé.

Anas' true identity remains unknown to the public

Anticipation for the Anas’ documentary heightened when President Nana Akufo-Addo filed a complaint at the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service after a security briefing on the upcoming exposé.

The expose implicated President of the GFA, Kwesi Nyantaky, in alleged corruption.

Kwesi Nyantakyi is said to have used the name of the President, the Vice President and other senior officers of the government to collect money and lure supposed foreign investors interested in establishing businesses in Ghana.

More officials are expected to be implicated in corruption when the full documentary is screened.
