Two persons have been confirmed dead in the Nadoni community of the Chereponi district in the Northern Region following renewed land dispute there.
According to the Chereponi District Chief Executive, Abdul Razak Tahiru, the renewed land dispute is between the Konbas and Anufors who are fighting over a three-acre land.

Abdul Razak Tahiru condemned the renewed clashes and called for a ceasefire.
He accused the leadership of the two feuding factions for failing to control the situation after a meeting with the District Security Committee that placed an injunction on the disputed land.

He said relative calm has been restored and that there were security reinforcements in the community.
No arrest has been made so far, and the security operatives are on a lookout for the front-runners.
Similar clashes in April 2017 displaced hundreds.
