The Minority in Parliament is calling for an urgent investigation into the tenure of Alfred Obeng Boateng as CEO of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company (BOST).

Among the many incidents at BOST were allegations of the sale of contaminated fuel which led to the country losing some GHs 7 million and the sale of fuel at considerable discounts to private companies in deals that smacks of corruption.
The Minority Spokesperson on Mines and Energy, Adam Mutawakilu in a Citi News interview said, “his dismissal should open a new page for investigations into the 5 million liters contaminated fuel, the two parcels of crude that were discounted at $2 each [instead of $5].”
The Presidency in an unexpected move on Tuesday announced the simultaneous dismissal of four heads of state agencies.
The Chief Executives for the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, Paul Ansah Asare, Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr Felix Anyah, Ghana Export Promotion Authority, Gifty Klenam and the Managing Director of BOST, Alfred Obeng Boateng were dismissed yesterday.
Also, the president also fired Madam Gifty Klenam’s two deputies Eric Amoako Twum and Sayibu Akilu. Though replacements for the sacked BOST MD and the Ports and Harbours Chiefs have already been announced, GEPA and Korle Bu Teaching Hospital are yet to know their new bosses
Ahead of his sack, calls had been intensified for the immediate interdiction of Alfred Obeng Boateng over allegations that he is complicit in all of the controversies at the company.
