An Indian bride sparked a mass brawl when she called off her wedding after the groom was spooked by a nearby lightning strike.
The fight broke out because the groom’s relatives were outraged that some of the wedding rituals had already been performed by the priest when the bride cut the ceremony short.

‘After the lightning, the groom behaved as [if] he was afraid of it,’ a police spokesman explained, according to The Telegraph.
The strike was in a field near the village of Chitrasenpur.
When the groom’s relatives complained about the bride’s sudden decision, they were attacked by the bride’s relatives.

The ceremony then descended into a brawl.
Three of the bride’s relatives were arrested after the violence, duty officer Sidheshwar Azad said.
In April, just-married Sunnil Verma, 25, was shot in the chest at his own wedding in a horrific act of violence.
