A non-profit organization, the Young African Leaders Network (YALN) Ghana, has called for concerted efforts among stakeholders to assist the youth to make an impact in the society.
Paulina Adjei, Vice President of the Network, said although some young people are doing everything within their capabilities to reach their goals but there needs to be synergy.

She spoke on the sidelines of a forum organized in Accra for young people to discuss issues of national concern.
The event, which was themed “Creating Safe Space to Empower Youth Organizations to Make Impact” was also to mark this year’s celebration of the International Youth Day.
Paulina Adjei said the motive of the forum was to bring all young entrepreneurs in the country under one umbrella, and identify what other entrepreneurs were doing to establish working relations.
She however bemoaned the inability of entrepreneurs and start-ups to impact deprived communities.
“Things are happening, talk about social entrepreneurship, these hub activities, but you go to an area then you realize that these people are lagging behind,” she mentioned.
She added that more action and efforts are needed from government, civil society groups, and young people to create safe space for all to strive.
In all, six young social entrepreneurship groups from the Greater Accra Region attended the program.
The participants were taken through tips for proposal writing, sponsorship and support for funding social impact ventures among others.
