The Namibia Embassy is calling on government to partner Namibia in promoting tourism opportunities between the two countries.
According to the embassy, both countries have a lot of interesting tourist sights to be explored.
This the embassy says is in line with promoting and establishing Ghana as a tourism hub in West Africa.
Esther Ndilula Corporate Tourism and Tour Planning Manager at Namibia Wildlife Resort said the move when taken into consideration should enhance opportunities and tourism trade partnerships between the two countries.
“We realize that there is so much potential for Ghana and Namibia. Either way, export, import business, tourism, the list is endless it will serve as a great opportunity for both countries.” She said.
She noted that the Ghana Tourism Authority can do better by taking advantage of the various tourism industries in Namibia to broaden the tourism scope in Ghana.
“I think we should be able to collaborate. There is so much we want to know about Ghana especially your textiles, the African print it is a big deal in Namibia, shear butter, soaps, food, I mean there is so much even the slave trade story really appeals to us and is of interest to us, we want to know about that story”.
“We don’t have anything like that in Namibia so it is one of our keen interests when it comes to Ghana so if we can do collaborations, we will be able to showcase it quite well.” She added
She spoke to Citi Business News during a Networking and Cocktail event organized by her outfit in Accra.
The event was organised by Namibia Wildlife Resort (NWR), in partnership with Air Namibia and powered by hype up.
