Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Hassan Tampuli, has renewed the commitment of the NPA to ensure that only the highest quality of petroleum products are served to the public.
In this regard, Mr. Tampuli said the NPA will work tirelessly with the various security agencies in the country, to deal with the “bad guys” operating in the system, while supporting the good ones to expand their businesses.
Mr. Tampuli said this after receiving a prize in Best Quality Leadership Award, Gold Category, by the European Society for Quality Research in Las Vegas, United States of America on Monday.
The European Society for Quality Research (ESQR), recognizes and highlights outstanding business results, best practices, quality awareness and achievements by companies in regional and global markets. Through its recognition programs and awards, ESQR makes quality a top priority for the recognized organizations, regardless of their sector, size and location.
ESQR draws up policies and guidelines for the awards which are presented at ESQR’s annual conventions in European major cities on an annual basis. The ESQR conventions become a hub where business leaders get more information on best practices in business strategies, visionary thinking and growth.
The awards recognize organizations’ distinctive performance improvement, organizational excellence, customer focus, and encourage them to share their best practices, experience and knowledge with other organizations. The recognition is independent assurance for organization’s stakeholders and customers, and it motivates the organizations’ employees to strive for sustainable excellence.
The NPA was one of 51 companies from 41 countries honored at the event.
Mr. Tampuli said the award is a recognition of the effective policies put in place by the Authority to not only improve the downstream sector, but contribute to the vision of President Akufo Addo’s “Ghana Beyond Aide” policy.
“It is eloquent testimony to the fact whatever we are doing in West Africa, Africa and around the world, it is receiving the attention of thought leaders around the world, who are looking at initiatives we have put in place to actualize the vision of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s vision for Ghana Beyond Aid.”
Mr. Tampuli also used the occasion to thank the staff of the NPA for their tireless efforts over the period, and for the unflinching support he continues to enjoy from them.
The European Society for Quality Research (ESQR), is based in Lausanne (Switzerland).
The ESQR platform creates a unique opportunity for public administrations and organizations to present and share their achievements, exchange professional experiences, propose initiatives and network with their potential partners from around the world.
