One of the country’s leading beverage company, Guinness Ghana, has changed its name to Guinness Ghana breweries PLC.
According to the company, the change of name is in accordance with the demands of its Amendment Act 835.
The change of name was agreed by all stakeholders after the company held its 46th Annual General Meeting in November 2018.
In a statement signed by the Corporate Relations Director of the company, Gabriel Opoku-Asare, he explained that the aim of the company is to be the best performing and most trusted beverage company in the country.
He also assured customers that the change of name will not negatively affect the brand in any way, adding that it is the same great company with only a new name.
“Our ambition to be the best performing, most trusted and respected consumer products company in Ghana is on course, so our cherished stakeholders should be rest assured that this is the same great company with a new name”.
The statement thus called on the public not to let the change of the company name negatively affect existing business engagements with them.

Ghana’s leading total beverage company, Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited has changed its corporate name to Guinness Ghana Breweries PLC.
This is in accordance with the demands of the Company’s Amendment Act 835.
Following shareholders’ approval at the company’s 46th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in November 2018, the name of the company, Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited (GGBL) has now changed to become Guinness Ghana Breweries PLC (Public Limited Company).
The Corporate Relations Director of the company Gabriel Opoku-Asare said,
The corporate name change should not negatively affect existing business relationships and transactions with our concerned parties.
