The Western Regional Police Command has assured families of the three kidnapped girls in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis of the command’s commitment in bringing home the victims.

[contextly_sidebar id=”vLgDYNQBfi7bfjJMcXk6s1pJVnam0JT9″]According to the command, it has been working hard to get information that will help it get the location of the girls and reunite them with their families.

Several weeks after official complaints were made to the police concerning the disappearance of the children, the police is yet to provide concrete information on the whereabouts of the children although it is holding a key suspect.

The situation has left families anxious with calls on the police to act speedily and more aggressively.

But the police say they are already doing their best on the case to get the girls.

The Public Relations Officer for the Western Regional Police Command, DSP Olivia Adiku in a Citi News interview said although a suspect is in police custody, they’re yet to get information on where specifically the girls are.

She however noted that the police has received new leads to help their investigation.

“We are still working around the clock to get some information because though we have been able to arrest him, he has not been able to tell us exactly where these ladies are. Whether they are in Ghana or not, their state of health and all that. We are assuring the families. It isn’t everything we can say publicly but we are doing a lot of work behind the scenes to get to the bottom of this issue. Certain leads have come up but we can’t put it on air for security reasons,” she said.

DSP Olivia Adiku however called on the public to volunteer relevant information that can assist in finding the missing girls.
