The General Secretary of the Christian Council and the immediate Past Chairman of the Church of Pentecost were among the renowned clergymen to endorse the International Justice Mission’s (IJM) latest efforts to curb child trafficking.
IJM on Wednesday launched the “The Justice Thread”, a study that emphasizes social justice themes from the bible.
The study has also been translated into Twi and Ewe languages.
Apostle Professor Opoku Onyina, the immediate past Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, launched the study with a charge to Christians to translate the lessons in the book to society.
He said “once we are able to teach them and educate them, we will be able to take them out of this system [child trafficking].”
The General Secretary of the Christian Council, Dr. Cyrl Fayose, described it as “a brilliant bible based booklet.”
This is certainly a worthy work for the arsenal of any serious social justice student.
The Reverend Fred Deegbe, the former General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana served as the chair of the event said “The Justice Thread” was a rich study of issues of justice and it offered practical insight and steps to rescuing trafficked Children.
