Awake Purified Drinking water, CIMG Product of the year 2017 through its charity driven project; ONE 4 Life showed massive love to people with various cardiovascular disease by donating GHC 75,000 on Valentine’s day Thursday 14th February 2019.
This donation cumulatively sums up all donations made so far from 2016 to a whopping GHc1,000,000.
The accomplishment was remarkably marked with sensational gospel musician Diana Antwi Hamilton to specifically thank its cherished consumers for their support in achieving this feat; through their continuous patronage of Awake which contributes 10p on every 500ml bottle purchase.
Diana Hamilton’s Mo No Yo song was used as tag line for the activity.
She visited patients on remand and in the OPD (Out Patients Department) to share words of encouragement and retailers and consumers in and around Korle-Bu environs to further thank them for the success.
Awake Purified Drinking water has over the years donated to the National Cardiothoracic Centre to financially support the less privileged and disadvantaged who cannot afford medical care heart transplant, heart surgeries, etc.
The donation will mark the 9th time since the ONE 4 Life initiative made a donation to the centre.
Speaking at the event, Director for Water and CSD, Eunice Adjei announced that the donation made so far to the Cardio centre through the sales of Awake bottles has reached a total of GHc1 million with 66 beneficiaries.
“Indeed, we proudly attest that with the help of Ghanaian consumers and our stakeholders, our dream of building a formidable brand and a great Corporate Social Responsibility project has immensely been successful and we are poised in ensuring continuity of the One4Life Campaign. Dr. Lawrence Sereboe, Head of the Cardiothoracic Centre, who received the cheque on behalf the Centre and used the opportunity to express the Centre’s gratitude to Awake Purified Drinking Water and Kasapreko Company Limited for sustaining their commitment to the Centre.
He also used the opportunity to entreat corporate bodies and individuals to follow suit and support the centre to save more lives.
In the spirit of St. Valentine’s, the Awake team also provided breakfast packs with chocolates to patients on remand and in OPD to remind them that they are loved and cherished.
