The 2019 edition of Accra Music Expo, a Ga music concert has been held at the forecourt of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly.
The Accra Music Expo is a special event focused on celebrating and promoting indigenous Ga music.
This year’s programme featured Ga music ensemble Dromo Naa, Afro-soul artiste Cina Soul, ‘Gyata Bi’ singer Adane Best, the Evergreen Dance Band and the Adabraka Drama Troupe.
In previous years, highlife giants like Paapa Yankson, Adane Best, Pat Thomas, Nana Kwame Ampadu, Okyeame Kwame, Samuel Owusu and the Ramblers International Band have all featured on the Accra Music Expo show.
The Accra Music Expo is a precursor to Citi FM’s Music of Ghanaian Origin (MOGO) which takes place on March 23, 2019 at the National Theatre.
This is part of Citi FM’s annual Heritage Month programme which is held in March to promote the Ghanaian heritage and culture.
The concert is organised by Citi FM and Citi TV in collaboration with the Accra Metropolitan Assembly.
