“I’m a big artiste, my brand is huge so why would I go around gallivanting and fighting back at organizers because of awards,” she said.
The gospel crooner added that being presented an awards is a sign of honour and hence it wouldn’t be necessary to fight when organizers do not want to honor you.
Music award schemes in Ghana always come with rivalry and competition for votes from music fans. This takes the form of artistes pleading on their fans to vote for them in various categories.
Some artistes on certain occasions, question the credibility of these award schemes when they are not nominated or lose out to other musicians.
Joyce Blessing is out with her new singles ‘Repent’ and ‘Di Asa.’
