On behalf of the over one hundred children in the three orphanages that benefited from the Easter Orphan Project this year, 2019, Citi FM will like to thank the individuals and institutions whose support helped in putting smiles on the faces of these children.
Citi FM yesterday [Easter Monday] donated stationery, food items, toiletries and cash to some three orphanages to help in the upkeep of children in those orphanages.
The beneficiaries included the Baptist School Complex (BASCO), an orphanage at Trotor, near Suhum in the Eastern Region, the Handivangelism Orphanage at Haatso in Accra, and Mama Laadi Orphanage at Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.
Among the generous donors who contributed to the Citi FM Easter Orphan Project include Voltic Ghana Limited, Kasapreko company limited, Nukat Farms, Saps School Limited, Pharmanova Ghana Ltd, Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana and Forewin Ghana Limited.
Others include Nkulenu Industry Limited, Coca- Cola Bottling Company Limited, Neufty Event Management Company, Freight Consult, patrons of the 2019 edition of Citi FM’s Heritage Caravan, Kantanka Automobile Company Limited, Fanmilk, OKS Medical Consult, Blue Skies, Eximbank Ghana, Ernest Chemist Ltd among others.,
The station has been embarking on this event annually for the past 13 years.
Over the years, Citi FM has supported the orphanages with cash donations, stationery, food items, toiletries, and other domestic items collected from the station’s listeners and clients who make generous contributions towards the project.
In 2013, the station through the support of its listeners and corporate Ghana built a vocational training centre for BASCO, and the centre is intended to cater for training in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, hairdressing, and masonry.
The Easter Orphan Project is a part of Citi FM’s Corporate Social Responsibility activities.
