Power has been restored in all the affected parts in the four regions of Northern Ghana.
The restoration happened on Monday afternoon.
Most parts of the regions had been without power for about three days thus affecting businesses in those areas.
The Management of Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) had announced that customers in Tamale and Bolgatanga and their environs would be affected.
This was after the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) reported some challenges on its transmission line from Buipe to Tamale.
Because of the challenges, supply was routed through alternative lines but those lines were unable to carry the entire load for both areas.
As a result, apart from a few express lines in Tamale like the Tamale Teaching Hospital, the Military Line and the Dalun Line of the Ghana Water Company Limited Water Heads in Tamale, the generality of the township did not have power.
In the case of Bolga, areas around the ADB Bank through the Municipal Police Headquarters to Zuarungu and Estates including the VRA Residency and their environs were affected.
