The Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has urged Muslims to use the period of Ramadan to pray for peace and prosperity for Ghana.
According to him, this will enable Ghana to benefit from the massive blessings of the holy month.
The Vice president was speaking at the inauguration of the first Nasara Office of the New Patriotic Party in the Western Region at Sekondi.
“We know that in this month of Ramadan, when you pray and call on God, he listen to your prayer so lets continue to pray for Ghana,” he said.
Muslims all over the world are observing thirty days of fasting and prayers which is one of the basic requirements of Islam. During the period they offer prayers for blessings for their families, communities and the country.
Last week Dr. Bawumia, embarked on a 3-day 2019 Ramadan tour where he visited the Oti, Volta and Eastern Regions.
While emphasizing the need for unity and peace among all Ghanaians, he encouraged residents to support the government to deliver its mandate.
