As part of efforts to give back to society, staff and students of the Canadian Independent College (CIC) Ghana have donated eight ceiling fans to the Dzorwulu Junior High School (JHS).
The gesture was championed by the Students’ Representative Council of CIC.
The administrator of CIC, Akosua Konadu Arhin led some students from the various streams to do the presentation to management of the Dzorwulu JHS.
They also had an interaction session with the students as well.
Headmistress of the Dzorwulu JHS expressed her profound gratitude and appreciation for the kind gesture.
She also further appealed for more assistance from other institutions.
The Canadian Independent College Ghana in the past also assisted a young blind girl and a kidney patient as well.
About CIC Ghana
CIC is an educational institution providing a caring learning environment for children of all ages using the Ontario Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum (Ontario K-12 curriculum).
It is the first accredited Canadian High School in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The school was established in 2008. It also has accreditation from the Ghana Education Service with two campuses located at the Airport Residential Area in Accra.
The High School/University Preparatory College offers both day and boarding facilities and student receive the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) on completion, which is accepted globally.
The primary school division which also runs the Ontario curriculum, houses kindergarten, grades 1-7 and a daycare session that offers care services to infants aged three months to three years.
