The University of Education, Winneba will host the first National Conference of Communication Educators to dialogue on ways to strengthen the communications fraternity.
The conference which comes off from June 27 to 28 will bring together academics, researchers and policy makers to discuss and share best practices in teaching, learning, curriculum and assessment issues in communication education in Ghana and abroad.
Speaking to Citi News in an interview, Ernest Azutiga, the Public Relations Officer for the University of Education explained that the two-day conference will build the capacity of communication educators in both private and public universities and as well as professionals in related communication agencies in Ghana.
“The conference will offer the communication educators the opportunity to learn more and also build their capacity,” the PRO said.
He further added that CEAG has come to ensure that communications fraternity in Ghana gets a professional backbone to help the association thrive.
“CEAG has come to give hope to the communications fraternity in Ghana and also to offer a professional backbone to help the association,” the Public Relations Officer of the University of Education added.
Speakers for the two-day program included Professor Kehbuma Langmia of the Howard University, Ms. Esther Cobbah, founder and CEO of Stratcomm Africa and Ambassador Kabral Blay-Amihere former chairman of the National Media Commission (NMC).
