The National Democratic Congress has postponed its parliamentary aspirant vetting from Wednesday, July 24 to 25th and 26th of July 2019.
This is to allow for the wreath-laying ceremony of the late Professor John Atta Mills at the Asomdwie Park on July 24, 2019.
The wreath-laying ceremony is to commemorate the 7th Anniversary of the death of the late former President.
In a press release, signed by the General Secretary of NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the party asked the “General Public and all Regional, Constituency Executives and Parliamentary Aspirant to take notice accordingly.”
The party last week closed nominations for persons who intend to vie as parliamentary candidates within the 275 constituencies.
The Director of Elections for the NDC, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah told Citi News that the various petitions presented by aggrieved persons will be dealt with on the merits of the cases presented.
