One of the drivers who were arraigned at the Abeka court over a traffic offence has been granted bail to the tune of GHC 5,000 with one surety.
Ibrahim Rashidatu pleaded not guilty to three counts of traffic offences including driving on the wrong side of the road, causing harm to other road users, as well as careless and inconsiderate driving.
She has been asked to reappear in court on July 18.
In total 16 drivers who were arrested at the Legon-Gimpa bypass were arraigned.
Presiding Judge, Adwoa Akyeiwaa Ofosu fined 14 of the drivers GHC 960 each while one was fined GHC 600.

The Police in partnership with Citi TV had in the last few days embarked on a number of operations where culprits caught breaking the laws are arrested and put before the court.
The campaign since it started, has charged citizens to be responsible while reporting other irresponsible drivers by filming them in a name and shame approach.
