Two contestants have been evicted from Citi TV’s music talent show, Voice Factory.
The exit of the two, Charisma and Debbie, come after Red’M and Oye were evicted a few weeks ago.
Debbie and Charisma had 10.11% and 9.87% of the total votes respectively week.
The remaining six (6) singers will, through live performance shows, jostle for the ultimate prize of GHc 10, 000.
But before the eviction, the eight contestants proved their versatility by performing some Afropop songs in this week’s episode.
The performances started with Lina who performed ‘Best in Me’ by Efya.
Cleck Boyson did ‘Easy’ by Reekado Banks, after which Debbie did ‘Prepaid’ by Revy.
This was followed by Charisma who sang Burna Boy’s ‘Gbona.’
Araba decided to sing an Afropop song done in gospel vein, tinging it with a few rap lines.
She did a rendition of ‘Crazy Love Remix’ by Akesse Brempong.
KennieKings performed Yes/No by Banky W while Idara sang ‘Kissing’ by Yemi Alade.
The last performance on the night was by Ayjay Sam who also did a gospel song in Afropop.
He sang ‘Afropop Praise Medley’ by Chris Appau.
On the judging panel for this week were gospel musician Edinam Bright-Davies, music producer Kaywa and Richie Mensah, CEO of Lynx Entertainment.
Hosted by Osei Kwame, co-host of Citi FM’s late afternoon drive, Traffic Avenue and AJ Sarpong, host of Brunch in the Citi on Citi FM and Hall of Fame on Citi TV, ‘Voice Factory’ airs on Citi TV and Citi 97.3 FM on Saturdays at 7 pm.
There are also repeats of the show at 11:30 pm on weekdays.
