As part of efforts to support the government’s flagship agricultural programs, the Ga South Municipal Assembly through the Department of Agriculture has registered a total of 1861 farmers who will benefit from highly subsidized agricultural inputs.
This includes fertilizer and seed subsidy for 2019.
Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ga South, Joseph Nyani told Citi News that, “Government is providing support for farmers in GA South Municipality as part of its flagship agricultural programs and a total of 1861 farmers will benefit from it”
Speaking to at the General Assembly meeting, the MCE indicated that the subsidy will help improve farming in the area.
“Farmers in the Municipality can now heave a sigh of relief as this will go a long way to improve their production”, the MCE said.
Joseph Nyani indicated that accommodation has been made available to security officers at Dankyira for security personnel to improve security in the area.
“We have procured furniture for the two Police stations in other to professionalize their job. I am assured that their general presence in the Municipality will boast security situation”, Joseph Nyani added.
