‘Zanku’ duo, Dope Nation believe the absence of adequate investment in the country’s entertainment industry remains the major challenge in marketing Ghanaian arts internationally.
Speaking on the sidelines of Citi TV’s music reality show Voice Factory they stated that a mindset to invest in the long-term benefits of the industry will serve the country well eventually.
“Maybe we all don’t see music to as an avenue to make huge sums of money and also we don’t consider music as something that will take us far or something that will bring money early.
It’s like that. It’s business! You know when you start business, you don’t expect to make money there and then. But then if we have a lot of investors it will be faster.
They said they started on their own but when Lynx entertainment came in, things started moving faster. Things that took them a year to work on, now take very short periods.
“There are a lot of talents out there, all we need are investors,” the twins stated while speaking to Nana Adwoa Sarkodie of Citi News.
The duo is currently promoting their latest single titled ‘Confam’ which features Ghanaian rapper Medikal.
