A Ghana Football Association Presidential hopeful, Amanda Clinton has conceded after getting no vote at the ongoing GFA election in Ghana.

None of the delegates voted for Amanda Clinton, during the first round of the election.

“I am very okay with the decision and like I said, I am very humbled to have taken part of the process, it is clear football people want football people to manage their football,” Amanda Clinton said.

The election is currently in the second round because none of the six candidates was able to secure the 50% plus one vote needed to emerge as the new GFA President.

Another candidate, George Ankomah Mensah also polled 0 votes.

The two front-runners are Dreams FC CEO Kurt Okraku and George Afriyie who polled 44 and 40 votes respectfully.

Yaw Amponsah also managed with 27 votes.

Fred Pappoe a former GFA President was the major casualty in the first round after he secured a paltry 6 votes.

He has however withdrawn from the second round.

The elections were allowed to proceed after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) rejected an injunction appeal by a disqualified Presidential aspirant, Wilfred Osei earlier on Friday.

The GFA’s Congress has a total of 120 delegates with the Division One League clubs accounting for the largest group; with 48 delegates.

However, only 118 votes were counted.
