The family of Dodzie Aglebe, the mobile phone dealer who was assaulted by two policemen in Koforidua will take legal action against the officers involved.
The 28-year-old was assaulted at the Railways Police station in Koforidua by two police officers who have been interdicted by the acting Inspector General of Police.
The family after a meeting to determine the next line of action dismissed claims making rounds that they are no longer interested in pursuing the case.
Father of the victim, Torgbui Daniel Aglebe spoke to Citi News moments after the meeting.
“If someone says we are no more interested in the case, it is not true. We were notified yesterday that the IGP interdicted two police officers so if the IGP has spoken who am I to say that he should not go ahead with investigations.”
“When an elderly person speaks it sums up everything so we will allow investigations to continue. I want to clarify that I have never said I was not interested in the case. I have met the lawyer and we will communicate our intentions to the public at a later date.”
