The Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC), Legon is set to hold its annual torch and bonfire night this year on October 11, 2019.
The 2019 edition of the Torch and Bonfire Night by the school is the fifth edition.
The ‘Odadeε Torch and Bonfire Night’ is an annual event for PRESEC old students which serves as a networking and socialisation platform to bring together alumni of the school to relive memories of their secondary school days.
The event which has been billed as one of the leading old school ceremonies in the country will be held on the school’s campus.
Over the years, PRESEC’s Torch and Bonfire event has attracted patrons from far and near as well as beyond the Odadeε fraternity.
The general public made up of people from diverse school backgrounds have also constantly been guests of the event.
The week-long event started from the 7th of October, with a launching ceremony followed by a career day then a JAMA night on the Wednesday the 9th.
They will hold a commemorate lecture on the 10th of October, a torch and bonfire night at the school field on the 11th of October, and an annual general meeting and finally a communion service and live band lunch on the 12th of October.
The bonfire night starts with a torch procession from the University Of Ghana roundabout to the school after which different activities like brass band music, stage performances, jama sessions and networking are scheduled to take place.
Top artists from various musical genres are set to perform at this year’s event. Patrons will also be treated to music from these artistes as food, drinks and beverages will be served.
