New utility tariffs have been announced by the PURC. The increase in water and electricity tariffs took effect on the 1st of October 2019, the same day the 9% communication service tax took effect. The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has taken a swipe at the NDC over the electricity increments.
