Some beneficiaries of the Ghana Government Scholarship Secretariat Award scheme for the 2018/2019 academic year, have graduated from the 2019 Scottish University of the year, University of Aberdeen.
The scholars, who graduated with Masters in International Relations, Law, Petroleum Energy Economics and Finance and International Real Estate Management, expressed their appreciation to the government of Ghana and the leadership of the Ghana scholarship secretariat headed by Kingsley Agyemang for giving them the life-changing opportunity to pursue their academic dreams.
Speaking after the event, one of the beneficiaries, Abigail Fremah Boakye, who graduated with MSc in International Relations, shared her joy at the opportunity.
“I’m so grateful to God and the government of Ghana for giving me this opportunity through the scholarship secretariat to be what I am today, I am forever indebted to my motherland and I hope to be part of the many change agents in Ghana.”
In all, six scholars who benefited from the scholarship secretariat Awards for the 2018/2019 academic year in review graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a lot more under the scheme to graduate across various universities in the United Kingdom.
The Ghana scholarship secretariat under the leadership of Kingsley Agyemang has seen a massive turnaround in schoIarships to deserving Ghanaian students, and making them accessible to a lot more underprivileged Ghanaians.
As part of efforts to monitor the welfare of students abroad, the registrar makes routine visits to the various schools to make sure students are in good academic standing.
