Kintampo South: Two children dead after being shot on farm

The Kintampo Divisional Police Command has started investigations into the death of two children at Krabonso-Adiambra in the Kintampo South District of the Bono East Region.

The two died from wounds after they were shot whilst on a farm by an unknown person on Monday.

The two, Gabriel Yinye, 10, and Kanto Yinye, aged 9, were on the farm with their mother when the incident occurred.

They were out searching for fruits when they were shot, police have said.

The Kintampo Divisional Police Commander, ACP Joseph Antwi Gyau, told Citi News his outfit is now working to apprehend the perpetrator.

“The other person died on the spot and other was taken to the hospital. He was sent to the Kintampo hospital and later referred to Techiman, with the pellets in his stomach and hands. Unfortunately, the following day, he also died,” ACP Gyau narrated.
