The Accra International Conference Centre was filled with nostalgic moments when Obrafour held his ‘Pae Mu Ka At 20’ concert.

The show which came off on Saturday, November 9, 2019, brought together some of the top artistes in Ghana whose music careers were either birthed from the works of Obrafour or made time off their schedules to celebrate the legend.

There were also, in attendance, politicians, celebrities and fans of the Rap Sofo.

The concert started with a performance by the Kri8 Band and Posta boy, who delivered a delectable repertoire of songs from Obrafour and other musicians.

Comedian Baba Spirit took over the stage to perform renditions of his own songs and Samini’s ‘My Own’. Patrons could not help laughing at his Northern-accent and antics on stage.

Other musicians like Article Wan, Krymi and AK Songstress were in their element when they took turns to entertain the audience.

Joyce Blessing and Jayana turned up the vibe in the auditorium when they also mounted the stage to perform their gospel songs.

One of the thrilling moments was when EL got the auditorium on its feet as he did a string of his hit songs. It was evident from the reception, the ‘Koko’ hitmaker had been missed by music fans.

Obrafour was ushered onto the stage in a grand style – a durbar of chiefs, seated; with poet Nana Asaase as the linguist introduced the new ‘king’ to the world. Appearing in his resplendent attire, he performed Pae Mu Ka, a song that that served as a prelude to his arrival into the music industry.

With several appearances on stage, Obrafour got almost everybody rapping to his songs.

Scooby Selah of TH 4 Kwages fame, Cy Lover, Tic, Samini, Stonebwoy, Kwaw Kese and Edem were all present to support the Rap Executioner.

Also on the bill were Bisa Kdei, Akwaboah, Kofi B, Joey B, King Promise, Akhan and Sarkodie.

In attendance were Shatta Wale, Reggie Rockstone, Nana Ama McBrown, Kalybos, Moesha Budoung, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (Member of Parliament for the North Tongu Constituency), Sammy Awuku Board (Chairman of the National Youth Employment Agency), among others.

The show was hosted by Kofi Okyere Darko.

According to Obrafour part of the proceeds from the concert will be channelled into a fund he has launched to help pupils in underprivileged environments.

Obrafour, (born Michael Elliot Kwabena Okyere Darko) got onto the music scene in 1999 with his maiden album ‘Pae Mu Ka’ which won the hearts of most music lovers.

His style of music is said to have an eclectic appeal to different age groups, mostly earning plaudits for the didactic inclinations to his compositions.

Some of his hit songs include ‘Agoro No Aso’, ‘Nkontompo’, ‘Asem Beba Dabi’, ‘Ntetee Pa’, ‘Kwame Nkrumah’, ‘Oye Ohene’, among others.
