The CEO of the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD) will be speaking at the University of Cape Coast on preparing graduates for work.
Mr. Hosi was recently in the news for criticizing the University of Ghana for failing to adequately prepare its students for work.
In his presentation in August, Mr. Hosi said of the University of Ghana that: “You are churning out people with degrees, not people with an education, not people with skills. And respectfully the old men running this school are too many. Get them out.”
A video of his presentation went viral, prompting both commendation and condemnation.
It appears the University of Cape Coast found something in Mr. Hosi’s remarks worthwhile.
He has been invited to participate in a roundtable discussion being organized by the university’s College of Humanities and Legal Studies on the theme, “University in the 21st Century, The Role of Humanities in Ghana”.
Mr Hosi will speak on the topic, “Preparing Graduates for the World of Work: The role of Universities.”
Key speakers at the event will include the Deputy Minister of Education Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum.
The roundtable discussion is slated for Tuesday, November 12 at the Main Auditorium of the University of Cape Coast.
