A Tamale Magistrate court has remanded into prison custody a suspect who was arrested in connection with assault involving two residents of Nanton in the Northern Region.
The suspect who was charged for assault and causing harm pleaded not guilty.
The Police on Sunday arrested Shani Ibrahim after the two who are believed to be sub-chiefs in Nanton were beaten by a crowd from Nanton on their way to perform rituals.
The suspect was part of persons who sent the victims to the police station but were however arrested.
Meanwhile, Court has adjourned the case to December 18, 2019.
Two persons are currently laying claim to the Nanton stool, creating tension in the area.
