A Parliamentary Aspirant for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Asante Akyem South constituency of the Ashanti Region is promising massive development and employment opportunities for the youth in the area if given the nod by delegates to represent the party.
The party will conduct parliamentary primaries in areas where it has sitting Members of Parliament (MP) on April 25, 2020.
Mr. William Yamoah, a former President of the National Union of Ghana Students and an aide in the office of the Vice President, Dr Alhaji Bawumia, successfully picked his forms on the 27th of January, 2020 to contest the primary.
Mr. Yamoah who is in race with six others including former President of the Musicians Union of Ghana [MUSIGA] President, Bice Osei Kuffour, popularly known as Obuor is hoping to unseat Hon. Kwaku Asante Boateng, the MP for the area.
Meanwhile, a founding member of the NPP in the Asante Akyem South Constituency and a leading political figure in the Asante Region, Nana Asante Gyeabour has predicted victory for William Yamoah.
Speaking at his residence at Nyaboo when William Yamoah paid him a visit, the founding father commended Mr Yamoah for contributing immensely towards the development of the constituency within a short period.
He has helped and is still helping a lot of the youth with jobs opportunities and scholarships, Nana Asante Gyeabour stated.
He admonished Mr. Yamoah to run an issue based campaign and expressed confidence in him winning the primaries.

Meanwhile Mr. Yamoah has picked up and filed his nomination to contest the Asante Akyem South seat.
