More than thousand people in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District have benefitted from a free health screening organized by Dr. Rashid Etuaful over the weekend at the Breman Essiam Community.
The event which was in collaboration with the iKER medical team conducted a general medical screening as part of efforts to reach out to the Ajumako Enyan Essiam people whilst contributing to efforts to achieve sustainable development goal three which highlights good health and wellbeing.
Beneficiaries of the free medical screening had the opportunity to undergo various health checks including, malaria test, blood pressure, blood glucose, hypertension, eye examination urine examination whilst medicines were given to persons diagnosed with certain ailments.
Speaking at the event, Dr Rashid Kwesi Etuaful who doubles as the NPP’s Parliamentary Candidate for the Ajumako Enyan Essiam Constituency entreated the attendees not to eschew proper healthcare practice and make regular visits and checkups at health facilities part of their daily lifestyles.
He stated, ‘Going for regular checkups is the only surest way to stay healthy, safe and sound’.
Members of the community were delighted and expressed their gratitude to Dr Rashid and his team for the gesture and also pledged their unflinching support for him.
As part of the crusade to consume made in Ghana products, attendees were refreshed with “EKU JUICE” a product from Ekumfi Friuts and Juice Company under the government’s One District One Factory (1D1F) initiative.
