A former Deputy Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Wonder Victor Kutor has donated items to some health centres in the Anlo District of the Volta Region.
The items are veronica buckets, tissue papers, hand sanitizers, hand gloves, boxes of liquid soaps and an unspecified number of nose masks.
These items which come in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak is his contribution towards the fight against the disease in the Volta Region.
The Volta Region has so far recorded nine cases of COVID-19.
Mr. Kutor who presented the items on Monday at a short ceremony indicated that the fight against the disease is everyone’s duty.
The beneficiary health centres were the Anloga health centre, the Tegbi Clinic and selected Community Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound.
Receiving the items, the Medical Director in-charge of the Anloga Health Center, Dr. George Winlove Nyasembi thanked Mr. Kutor for his kind gesture, saying all hands are needed on deck in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
The items, he noted could not have come at a better time when measures are being stepped up to ensure that the precautionary measures and all the protocols needed to prevent the spread of the virus are adhered to.
He later took Mr Kutor who was accompanied by the Vice-Chairman of Anlo Constituency and some branch executives of the National Democratic Congress round the facility to appreciate its current state.
