Four herdsmen are currently receiving treatment at the Eastern Regional Hospital after sustaining some degrees of injuries in a clash.
The misunderstanding erupted into a bloody clash at Akateng a Community near Asesewa in the Eastern Region on Wednesday.
The cause of the fight is immediately not known yet.
However, according to the acting Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, Sgt Francis Gomado, investigations are ongoing to arrest the perpetrators.
“For now, they are being attended to medically and they are fine. They are all alive and responding to treatment at the Eastern Regional Hospital. What actually happened yesterday in the evening, is actually unknown. So the investigations will reveal what actually triggered this clash. We are listening to all other witnesses that are involved, including the victims.”
The conflict between herders and local farmers over the years; has not only led to the destruction of food crops but also the loss of human lives.
In some instances, some herdsmen have been accused of sexual assault against women in the communities.
