NPP youth in Wulensi want Akufo-Addo to sack DCE

The Concerned Youth of the New Patriotic Party group in Wulensi are calling on the President, Nana Akufo-Addo to sack the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Natogmah Munkaila immediately, over allegations of incompetence.

The group presented a petition to the Coordinating Director for onward submission to the President for his removal following a march.

Abdul Razak Zakari, the convener of the Concerned Youth in a Citi News interview said the DCE is dividing the party in the District.

“We want the DCE to be quiet. He is not performing. He is dividing the party and for that reason, he is the cause of everything and if care is not taken and not fired immediately, the party is likely to lose the seat. When he is sacked, whoever that will be appointed will be supported by us.”

In a related development, President Akufo-Addo earlier in the day relieved the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Amansie South District in the Ashanti Region, William Asante Bediako, and Akuapim North Municipal Chief Executive, Dennis Aboagye of their positions.

The decision of the President was made known in a statement by the Ministry of Local Government, announcing the nomination of new people to take over their positions.
