The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Mahama, has begun a four-day tour of the Bono Region.
Mr. Mahama is expected to visit 11 out of 12 constituencies in the Bono Region.
He began his four-day tour at Nchiraa in the Wenchi Municipality.
The Paramount Chief of Nchiraa, Nana Taw Tabiri III, speaking during Mr. Mahama’s visit appealed to him to finish the construction of the road he started and also give a face-lift to the Nchiraa Water Falls.
Nana Tabiri III also called for the upgrading of the Nchiraa Senior School.
Former President Mahama assured that if he wins the election in December, he will establish Agric Mechanization Centres across the country to help farmers.
This Centre he noted would help farmers to access farm equipment including, harrowers, planters among others.
“The Mechanization Centres were established during President Kwame Nkrumah’s time. We are bringing it back to help farmers. This will help the farmers to access harrow, planters when they register with these centres.”
At Subinso, Mr. Mahama urged the people to go and check out the names in the ongoing Electoral Commission’s voters’ register exhibition exercise.
