Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has begun a 3-day tour of the Eastern Region with a call on Ghanaians in the region to renew the mandate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the December elections.
Dr. Bawumia who argued that the NPP government has properly managed the affairs of the country over the past years said Ghanaians are yet to experience the best from the NPP.
Speaking at a durbar of Chiefs and people at Adeiso in the Lower West Akim District, Dr. Bawumia said the next NPP government will construct a model Senior High school in every region for Zongo communities.
“What the Zongo communities need is education. When are mandate is renewed, we are going to construct a model school in every region for the Zongo communities. We are not looking at constructing mortuaries. That is why we need you to give the NPP four more years.”
Meanwhile, the Chief of Adeiso, Osabarima Asare Oduro II who showered praises on the NPP government for the implementation of the Free Senior High School program further called on the government to ensure the establishment of a factory in Adeiso under the One District One Factory (1D1F) initiative.
“We are very appreciative of the developmental projects that have taken place under the Akufo-Addo administration. All we want in addition to what he has done so far is to establish a factory in Adeiso. We will really appreciate it.”
