The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Atiwa East in the Eastern Region, Abena Osei-Asare has donated a cash amount of GHS 200 and assorted items including bags of rice, cooking oil, mackerel, tins of milk, boxes of sugar to Persons With Disability (PWDs) in the constituency.
The gesture was at a short ceremony on Saturday November 14, 2020.
She urged the PWDs who are members of the Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled (GSPD) in her constituency to take advantage of all existing opportunities to enable them reach their maximum potential.
While calling for their continuous support to retain the seat, she indicated that “one can do whatever they set their heart to do no matter the circumstances they find themselves as long as they have the will to do…. When you have the will-power, we can do everything. It is against this backdrop that the President drew his inspiration to promise and successfully fulfill the Free SHS policy.”
Mrs. Osei-Asare, who is also a deputy Finance Minister further advised them to acquire skills to enable them to be independent, adding that her office is “ever-willing to support any individual who may want to take the challenge.”
House to house campaign in Ahankrasu
The MP who is seeking a renewal of her mandate during a house-to-house campaign in the Ahankrasu community urged residents to consider the achievements of the NPP government and the hope of things promised in the party’s manifesto to vote for the party in the upcoming elections.
She also highlighted some of the promises which she said were key to the improvement of the lives the residents.
The incumbent MP further revealed that plans were far advanced for the construction of the Sekyere Town roads and layout.
She thus appealed for their unflinching support in the run to the December 2020 polls.
