As part of its second-anniversary celebration, the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) in the Yendi Municipality has donated to a camp hosting suspected witches at Tindang near Gnani in the Northern Region.
The donation which was from the NABCO beneficiaries was to assist the poor old women at the camp as their appreciation to the president and NPP government.
The Nation Builders Corps is celebrating its second anniversary since it’s creation by the NPP government.
NABCO was a political promise by the NPP to address the graduate unemployment crisis in the country at the time.
Several graduates benefited from the policy and in the Yendi Municipality in the Northern region, the beneficiaries are marking the second anniversary of their engagement.
The beneficiaries on their own made contributions towards this, and they have been able to raise funds and bought some items for the vulnerable women at the camp.
The beneficiaries say the gesture is to show an appreciation to the NPP government for giving them the opportunity to earn a living at the end of the month.
The group donated three bags of maize, five bags of rice and salt, bottled water and an amount of thousand cedis to the women.
Moses Tapin Kwojan is the NABCO coordinator in the Yendi Municipality.
“It is our second anniversary, last year we celebrated with disabled people and this time, we decided to support our old women. This is to show our appreciation to the president. We are therefore urging our old women to vote massively for the NPP ”
The Municipal Chief Executive for Yendi, Ahmed Abubakari Yussif, who was also there to witness the donation spoke on the impact of good social policies on the lives of people.
“What the beneficiaries have done shows the impact of the interventions of the government on the citizens. Social policies touch many lives”.
Some of the NABCO beneficiaries, have been expressing their satisfaction and urged the people to vote massively for the New Patriotic Party to continue with the good policies.
“We are here to do this donation to show our appreciation to the President. Before NABCO, we were home as unemployed graduates but now we have something, which is why we have decided to also show support”.
Mma Sana, the leader of the women at the camp thanked the NABCO beneficiaries for their support and prayed that the NPP wins the upcoming elections to continue to support all of them.
“We are so happy to receive this support from our children, and we pray that God Almighty will bless them. We pledge our support for the President “
