The 2nd episode of Vodafone’s Healthline Series, Season Nine kicked off with a discussion on pimples.
The main panellists, KwekumaYalley – a General Practitioner and Aba Folson – Senior Physician took different positions on the subject matter.
While KwekumaYalley argued that groundnuts generally do not cause pimples.
He, however, indicated that there are inflammatory acumens that could cause pimples on the face.
Aba Folson on the other hand indicated that there are glands underneath the skin that produce oils that could cause pimples.
She was of the view that groundnuts do not cause pimples at all.
“You realize that women within some time of the month begin to break out. Some glands under the skin begin to become hyperactive and they begin to have pimples.”
