Allianz Life Insurance Limited has introduced a new product, the Eduflex Insurance plan, into the Ghanaian market.
The Insurance plan is aimed at significantly lessening the financial burden parents and guardians have to go through in taking care of the educational needs of their children and wards.
Speaking at the launch of the Allianz Life Insurance Eduflex plan, the chief retailer and marketing officer Mrs. Jane Kitome explained that the new product, Eduflex, was crafted with the idea of covering up for instances and circumstances that derail parents and guardians’ financial plan to effectively and efficiently cater for their kids’ education.
Mrs. Kitome explained that 100% of the sum assured at the time of death plus the total accumulated fund value would be paid to the parent or guardian.
“The insured and the beneficiaries enjoy the life insurance protection during the term of the policy and additional accidental injury cover for the beneficiary. This education savings plan is intended to accumulate funds for the sole purpose of funding the education of your children”
“200% of the current sum assured will be paid in the event that the policyholder (parent/ guardian) dies through a vehicular accident before the policy matures,” she added.
On his part the Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Life Insurance, Gideon Ataraire stated that there was a need for parents and guardians to take advantage of the product.
He noted that it was always a safer option to fall on one’s insurance rather than savings in case of any unfortunate incident adding that Eduflex insurance plan makes it possible for the policyholder to not rely on their savings when exigencies arise.
The event saw in attendance the Deputy Commissioner of the NIC, Michael Andoh, who on his part admonished insurance companies to train their salespersons on how to market the benefits of insurance products.
He further added that there was a bigger value in insurance hence the need for the public to patronize the Eduflex insurance plan.
